My art quilts are inspired by my photographs of nature, architecture and, more recently, cut crystal.  I have combined my passions for photography and quilting.

My techniques include photographs printed on fabric, thread painting and fabric collage.

A central theme in my work is sparkling light -- sunlight on water and moonlight creating a silhouette of the trees against the night sky.  My latest collage art quilts are recreations of the light and color captured by photographs of cut crystal.

I am fascinated with kaleidoscopes I can create with computer editing software.  I take photographs with a mix of textures, depth and colors to achieve unique, surprising kaleidoscope shapes.  I then print them on fabric and quilt or recreate the shapes with fabric collage.
